Teams must search within a 300-yard radius (around 270 metres) of the museum for a taxi which has a figurine of the landmark shown in their picture. YIELD

And subsequent cluebox:

1) Zabrina/Joe Jer
2) Sandy/Francesca
3) Mardy/Marsio
4) Andrew/Syeon

No team uses the Yield. The next clue is this week's:

ROADBLOCK
"Who wants to play a round? You may need patience and a steady hand."

Before this task, teams must take their abra to the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. There, the chosen team member must use only a putter, one other club of their choice, and one ball to complete a nine hole golf course. The same place was used as a Pit Stop in TAR 5 in the American version, and contrary to both it's a theatre restaurant and not a desert camp. 4) Mardy/Marsio, who are not eliminated, but lose their money and will not get any for the next leg.

All teams take the same train, which per Zabrina/Joe Jer's clue reading was specified in the clue.

Before the task, teams must first get to Garib Gaushala, a cowshed at the Tibetan Monastery Market. There, the chosen team member must fill and carry a bucket of dung to the roof of the cowshed, and use it to make dungcakes. Each cake must be stuck to the wall in order to count. Once 20 dungcakes have been formed, they will be given their next clue. The chosen team members finish:

1) Andrew [Andrew 5, Syeon 4]

The clue directs teams to fly to Kolkata, India. When they land, they must travel to St. Teresa of Avila church, which Allan erroneously tells us is named after Mother Teresa (who is currently not a saint). At the church, teams must light a torch in memory of the wrong Teresa before getting the clue.

All teams take the same flight from Phuket to Kolkata via Bangkok, presumably on Air Asia.

Teams get to the church and light their candles:

1) Sandy/Francesca, who first went to Mother Teresa's burial site

5) Marsio [Mardy 4, Marsio 3]

Teams are told to head to the Aaheli Restaurant at the Pearless Inn. There, they must each consume a traditional Bengali feast -- and dessert -- in order to get the next clue. Teams arrive at the restaurant, and discover a menu hinting that the meal should be eaten slowly:

1) Andy/Laura
2) Sandy/Francesca
3) Zabrina/Joe Jer
4) Andrew/Syeon
5) Mardy/Marsio

And finish their meals:

1) Sandy/Francesca
2) Zabrina/Joe Jer [note: Joe Jer apparently finished the main course well before anyone else]
3) Andy/Laura
4) Andrew/Syeon
5) Mardy/Marsio

The next clue directs teams to get to Kanishka's Sari Boutique, and search for their next clue hidden amongst hundreds of saris in the store. Teams are told in the clue that the store is closed for the night, but head there anyway, arriving:

1) Sandy/Francesca
2) Andy/Laura
3) Zabrina/Joe Jer
4) Andrew/Syeon
5) Mardy/Marsio

To confirm that the clue told the truth, and that the store is closed.

Day Nineteen
Tuesday, June 13th, 2006

When the store opens at 9am, teams find the clue:

1) Andrew/Syeon
2) Andy/Laura
3) Sandy/Francesca, despite the caption showing them in 4th
4) Zabrina/Joe Jer, depsite the caption showing them in 3rd
5) Mardy/Marsio

Which is a:

Carry <--DETOUR--> Count

Teams selecting CARRY must transport 80 litres of milk from one pot to another, by balancing urns on their head as they walk. PROS: Not confusing. CONS: Physical.
Teams selecting COUNT must travel to a specified market and correctly count the number of betel nuts in a provided basket. Each basket has a different number of nuts in it. If teams are incorrect, they must count the entire basket before guessing again. Teams are allowed to switch bowls as they wish. PROS: Not physical. CONS: Confusing.

Teams choose options and finish:

1) Andy/Laura, who chose Carry
2) Andrew/Syeon, who chose Count (total: 1212)
3) Mardy/Marsio, who chose Count (total: 1219)
4) Zabrina/Joe Jer, who chose Count (total: 1234)
5) Sandy/Francesca, who chose Count and did not finish by the end of the episode

The final clue of this episode directs teams to travel to the Kolay Market, and find the mat at a nearby terrace on the roof of the Indian Overseas Bank. Teams arrive:

1) Andy/Laura, who are handed a clue and told that the leg is not over...

The Amazing Race Asia 1, Leg 8 Timeline: Nuts To This

Money for this race leg: $40.00. (I think, Mardy's accent is thicker than usual here.)
Money for the entire race: $509.00, plus whatever was given for Leg 3, Leg 5, and the previous leg.

Day Fifteen
Friday, June 9th, 2006

After an extended Pit Stop in Bangkok, teams depart from Wat Pho, the Temple of the Reclining Buddha:

1:00am - Andy/Laura
+5min - Andrew/Syeon (1:05am)
+11min - Howard/Sahran (1:11am)
+36min - Sandy/Francesca (1:36am)
+55min - Mardy/Marsio (1:55am)
+147min - Zabrina/Joe Jer (3:27am)

Teams are directed to take a taxi to the Southern Bus Terminal, then travel by bus to Krabi. When they arrive, they will travel by songtel to Nopparat Thara Bay.

In the only time this whole season teams take different routes, teams travel to Krabi as follows:

Direct Bus:
1=) Andy/Laura, Sandy/Francesca, Zabrina/Joe Jer
Assorted Local Buses (connecting in Prachuap, Chumphon, Muang Mai, and Phuket):
4=) Andrew/Syeon, Howard/Sahran, Mardy/Marsio

The direct bus arrives first, but something is apparently (poorly) edited out here, because Allan mentioned -- and the vision showed -- longboats with clues on them at the start of the episode, but this rehash shows a cluebox on the beach. In any event, teams get to Nopparat Thara Bay and find the visitors centre closed.

Day Sixteen
Saturday, June 10th, 2006

Teams are shown reading the next clue:

1) Andrew/Syeon
2) Sandy/Francesca
3) Howard/Sahran
4) Zabrina/Joe Jer
5) Mardy/Marsio
6) Andy/Laura

Which contains both a:

FAST FORWARD

In this Fast Forward, the last of the race, teams must head by longboat to Pranang Bay. There, they will take a two-person kayak and paddle around the bay to find the Fast Forward, hidden somewhere amongst the cliffs. Mardy/Marsio are the only team to attempt this, and they therefore win it unchallenged.

And a:

Smash <--DETOUR--> Grab

Both options first require teams to travel by longboat to Koh Poda, a small nearby island.
Teams selecting SMASH must use a hammer to smash through 75 coconuts, trying to find the only one in their pile filled with red ink. PROS: Less physical. CONS: Worse odds.
Teams selecting GRAB must swim among 100 buoys, each with a clue envelope underneath, and search for one of ten correct clue envelopes. PROS: Better odds of success. CONS: More physical.

Teams choose options and finish:

2) Andrew/Syeon, who chose Grab
3) Andy/Laura, who originally chose Smash but switched to Grab
4) Sandy/Francesca, who chose Smash
5) Zabrina/Joe Jer, who originally chose Smash but switched to Grab
6) Howard/Sahran, who originally chose Smash but switched to Grab

The next clue is a:

ROADBLOCK
"Who wants to rock? This challenge is physical and requires a steady nerve."

Before the task, teams must first travel by long boat to the Railey East 123 Wall. There, the chosen team member must choose one of six available paths up the limestone cliff, and retrieve their next clue before abseiling down. The chosen team members finish:

2) Andrew [Andrew 4, Syeon 3]
3) Andy [Andy 5, Laura 2]
4) Sandy [Sandy 4, Francesca 3]
5) Zabrina [Zabrina 3, Joe Jer 4]
6) Sahran [Howard 4, Sahran 3]
FF) Mardy/Marsio [Mardy 4, Marsio 2]

Teams are directed to take their longboat to Koh Hong, and search the island's interior lagoon for their next clue, which has been conveniently hidden in the most obvious place possible, and is markedly higher than usual to cope with the water. Teams get this clue:

2) Andrew/Syeon
3) Andy/Laura
4) Sandy/Francesca
5) Zabrina/Joe Jer
6) Howard/Sahran

The final clue of this leg directs teams to travel by longboat to the Pit Stop at Ko Pak Bia. Teams arrive:

1) Mardy/Marsio
2) Andy/Laura
3) Sandy/Francesca
4) Andrew/Syeon
5) Zabrina/Joe Jer
6) Howard/Sahran, who are eliminated.

The Amazing Race Asia 1, Leg 7 Timeline: No Vegan Detours

Money for this race leg: Not Stated.
Money for the entire race: $469.00, plus whatever was given for Leg 3, Leg 5, and this leg.

Day Twelve
Tuesday, June 6th, 2006

+88min - Mardy/Marsio (4:22am)
+91min - Howard/Sahran (4:25am)
+191min - Andy/Laura (6:05am)

With a clue directing them to fly to Singapore. When they arrive, they must find the flagged Caltex service station on MacPherson Road (there are two), and wash a Ford Focus sedan to the satisfaction of the Caltex employee judging the task in order to get the next clue. Again, they are told that they must fly Air New Zealand.

All teams take the same flights to Singapore, connecting in Auckland.

Teams arrive at the Caltex and find their vehicles:
1) Mardy/Marsio
2) Sandy/Francesca

2) Mardy/Marsio
3) Sandy/Francesca
4) Howard/Sahran
5) Andy/Laura

All teams take the same direct AirAsia flight...

Day Thirteen
Wednesday, June 7th, 2006

...arriving before dawn the next morning. Teams arrive at the temple:

1) Zabrina/Joe Jer
2) Andy/Laura
3) Andrew/Syeon
4) Howard/Sahran
5) Mardy/Marsio
6) Sandy/Francesca

They must find the correct cluebox out of several hidden on the temple grounds. However, teams must wait for the cable cars which will take them across the river to the temple to start operating at 6:30am before searching. They take cable cars across in the order they arrived, and find the correct cluebox:

1) Zabrina/Joe Jer
2) Andrew/Syeon, who see Zabrina/Joe Jer getting the clue from their cable car
3) Sandy/Francesca
4) Mardy/Marsio
5) Andy/Laura
6) Howard/Sahran

3) Andrew/Syeon
4) Mardy/Marsio
5) Andy/Laura
6) Howard/Sahran

Though there are 100 capsules, only six of these can be exchanged for the next clue. 1) Andy [Andy 4, Laura 2]
2) Syeon [Andrew 3, Syeon 3]
3) Francesca [Sandy 3, Francesca 3]
4) Marsio [Mardy 4, Marsio 2]
5) Joe Jer [Zabrina 2, Joe Jer 4]
6) Sahran [Howard 4, Sahran 2]

Immedaite after the RoadBlock, the next clue is a:

Bacon <--DETOUR--> Eggs

Teams selecting BACON must take a taxi to flagged tuk-tuks on a specified road, then navigate their driver through Bangkok's confusing streets to the nearby Pig Memorial Monument. Their drivers are not allowed to assist, but teams can ask for help from locals. PROS: Not physical. CONS: Language barrier.
Teams selecting EGGS must take a taxi to Pak Khlong Talad, find a specified egg vendor, stack 20 trays on a wheeler, and transport them to a different stall in the market. They must return and get replacements for any eggs they break. PROS: Task is potentially easier. CONS: Physical.

Teams choose options and finish:

1) Andy/Laura, who chose Eggs
2) Howard/Sahran, who chose Bacon
3) Andrew/Syeon, who chose Bacon

2) Andy/Laura
3) Andrew/Syeon
4) Sandy/Francesca
5) Sharon/Melody
6) Howard/Sahran*
7) Mardy/Marsio

Teams must drive their cars 280 kilometres to Queenstown. There, they must get to a specified Caltex petrol station and refuel their cars, paying with a provided credit card, in order to get the next clue. Teams arrive at the station and get the clue:

1) Mardy/Marsio
2) Zabrina/Joe Jer
3) Andrew/Syeon
4) Howard/Sahran
5) Andrew/Syeon
6) Sharon/Melody
7) Sandy/Francesca

*On the way to Queenstown, Andy/Laura got pulled over for speeding (at 146km/h) and Andy's licence was revoked for the duration of his stay in New Zealand.

The clue at the petrol station is this week's:

Luge <--DETOUR--> Ledge

Whichever option teams choose, they must first take a skilift to the top of Bob's Peak in Queenstown before hiking to their task.
Teams selecting LUGE must complete a tag-team relay of the 830-metre-long luge circuit, doing eight laps in total in order to get the next clue. PROS: Less scary. CONS: Each player has to complete the circuit four times.
Teams selecting LEDGE must each perform the AJ Hackett Ledge Swing (essentially a bungy jump). Both team members must complete the swing to get the next clue. PROS: Each player only has to do the task once. CONS: Much scarier.

Before the task, teams must travel to the Nevis Valley. There, the chosen team member will travel across to the Nevis Highwire Platform and bungy jump. Though the task is first-come-first-served, team members will forfeit their place in line if they fail to jump within two minutes after arriving on the platform. The chosen team members jump:

1) Sandy [Sandy 3, Francesca 2]
2) Laura [Andy 3, Laura 2]

The Amazing Race Asia 1, Leg 4 Timeline: But Handycams Don't Go Click, Dammit!

NOTE: The copy of this episode I was able to find has mismatched audio for a stretch in the centre of the episode, so I apologise if I make mistakes anywhere in between completing the Detour and arriving at the RoadBlock. (For the record, Mrs. Macquarie's Chair less fun, Click Go The Shears more fun.)

Money for this race leg: $165.00

And find a:

ROADBLOCK
"Who digs the seaside?"

In this RoadBlock, the chosen team member must choose one of nine marked dig areas on the beach, and use provided tools to find a buried souvenir. The surfboards are buried anywhere between zero and 40 centimetres deep. Once a player finds the souvenir, a mini surfboard, they can exchange it for their next clue.

Because of exhaustion, the teams discuss all taking the four-hour quitting penalty (to be assessed at the Pit Stop) so they can leave together, but only five teams do so. Team members leave the RoadBlock:

1) Mardy, who takes the penalty [Mardy 1, Marsio 1]
2) Andy, who takes the penalty [Andy 1, Laura 1]
3) Aubrey, who takes the penalty [Aubrey 1, Jacqueline 1]
4) Prashant, who finds the surfboard [Sahil 1, Prashant 1]
5) Howard, who finds the surfboard [Howard 1, Sahran 1]
6) Sandy, who finds the surfboard [Sandy 1, Francesca 1]
7) Joe Jer, who takes the penalty [Zabrina 1, Joe Jer 1]
8) Syeon, who takes the penalty [Andrew 1, Syeon 1]
9) Sharon, who finds the surfboard [Sharon 1, Melody 1]

The next clue directs teams to find the Internet Outpost Travellers Lounge, an internet cafe. There, they must use MSN's search engine to find their next clue. Teams arrive and leave in the same order:

1) Mardy/Marsio*
2) Andy/Laura*
3) Sahil/Prashant
4) Aubrey/Jacqueline*
5) Howard/Sahran
6) Zabrina/Joe Jer*
7) Andrew/Syeon*
8) Sandy/Francesca
9) Sharon/Melody

With a clue directing them to the Ubud Monkey Forest. In the forest, there are two hundred scattered clue envelopes. Most of these have the message "Try Again" stamped onto the back, but ten have "Correct" stamped onto them. When teams find one of these envelopes, they can take it. Teams arrive at the forest either before it closes (the first three teams, before 6:00pm), or after it closes (everyone else).

The first two teams find their clue:

1) Andy/Laura*
2) Sahil/Prashant

Which is a:

Wet <--DETOUR--> Dry

Teams choosing WET must travel to a nearby tropical rainforest (a Bali Adventure Tours truck is shown), walk down five hundred steps to the Ayun [sp?] river, and whitewater raft along a six-kilometre course. PROS: Speed depends on team. CONS: Very physical.
Teams selecting DRY must travel to the Elephant Safari Park, and ride an elephant along a three-kilometre course. PROS: Not physical. CONS: Speed depends on elephant.

Both tasks are closed for the night, and open at 9am the next day, rendering this lead pointless.

Mardy/Marsio also arrive in time to search, but do not find a clue before the Monkey Forest closes.

Day Four
Monday, May 29th, 2006

The remaining teams find their clues:

3) Howard/Sahran
4) Mardy/Marsio*
5) Andrew/Syeon*
6) Sandy/Francesca
7) Zabrina/Joe Jer*
8) Sharon/Melody
9) Aubrey/Jacqueline*

Teams choose options and finish their Detours:

1) Howard/Sahran, who chose Dry
2) Zabrina/Joe Jer, who chose Dry*
3) Sahil/Prashant, who chose Wet
4) Andy/Laura, who chose Wet*
5) Sandy/Francesca, who chose Dry
6) Mardy/Marsio, who chose Dry*
7) Andrew/Syeon, who chose Wet*
8) Sharon/Melody, who chose Dry
9) Aubrey/Jacqueline, who chose Wet*

Teams are directed to drive themselves to the Uluwatu Caves and search for the clue. They arrive and find it:

1) Howard/Sahran
2) Zabrina/Joe Jer*
3) Sandy/Francesca
4) Mardy/Marsio*
5) Andy/Laura*
6) Sharon/Melody
7) Andrew/Syeon*
8) Sahil/Prashant
9) Aubrey/Jacqueline*

The final clue of this leg directs teams to head to the Tanah Lot Temple, the largest Buddhist temple on the island, and the Pit Stop for this leg of the race. Teams ARRIVE:

1) Zabrina/Joe Jer*
2) Howard/Sahran
3) Sandy/Francesca
4) Mardy/Marsio*
5) Andy/Laura*
6) Andrew/Syeon*
7) Sharon/Melody
8) Sahil/Prashant
9) Aubrey/Jacqueline*

However, because of the penalties, this is the final check-in order:

1) Howard/Sahran, who each win a Sony HD Handicam
2) Sandy/Francesca
3) Sharon/Melody
4) Sahil/Prashant
5) Zabrina/Joe Jer
6) Mardy/Marsio
7) Andy/Laura
8) Andrew/Syeon
9) Aubrey/Jacqueline, who are eliminated.

The Amazing Race Asia 1, Leg 2 Timeline: Sucky Sony Soup

Money for this race leg: $139.00 (but Sandy/Francesca receive nothing)
Money for the entire race: $189.00

Day Two
Saturday, May 27th, 2006

Teams depart from the Pit Stop, which has been moved from the top of Menara Kuala Lumpur to the base of the tower:

2:11am - Mardy/Marsio
+9min - Ernie/Jeena (2:20am)
+16min - Zabrina/Joe Jer (2:27am)
+26min - Aubrey/Jacqueline (2:37am)
+31min - Andrew/Syeon (2:42am)
+46min - Sharon/Melody (2:57am)
+46min - Andy/Laura (2:57am)
+92min - Howard/Sahran (3:43am, despite arriving AFTER Sahil/Prashant)
+109min - Sahil/Prashant (4:00am, despite arriving BEFORE Howard/Sahran)
+147min - Sandy/Francesca (4:38am)

The first clue directs teams to fly to Jakarta, Indonesia on AirAsia. When they land, they must take taxis to the main entrance of the Ragunan Zoo in oder to find the next clue.

Because of being restricted to one airline, all teams take the same flight to Jakarta. Teams arive later that morning and head to the zoo, where they find the cluebox (order generally not shown), and encounter a:

ROADBLOCK
"Who likes animals?"

Before the task itself, teams must walk to the Native Small Mammals sectioln of the zoo. There, the chosen team member must enter an enclosure containing a native Indonesian snake, second only in size to the anaconda. Once inside, they have two minutes in which to avoid the snake and retrieve the clue from a cluebox inside. If they fail to get the clue in this time, they must go to the back of the first-come-first-served line. Teams shuffle slightly on their way to the task, where chosen team members all succeed on their first attempt, in the following order:

1) Ernie [Ernie 1, Jeena 0]
2) Marsio [Mardy 0, Marsio 1]
3) Sahil [Sahil 1, Prashant 0]
4) Sahran [Howard 0, Sahran 1]
5) Laura [Andy 0, Laura 1]
6) Melody [Sharon 0, Melody 1]
7) Zabrina [Zabrina 1, Joe Jer 0]
8) Andrew [Andrew 1, Syeon 0]
9) Francesca [Sandy 0, Francesca 1]
10) Jacqueline [Aubrey 0, Jacqueline 1]

The next clue contains directions for teams to travel to Taman Mini Indonesia Indah, where they must find the West Sumatera Pavilion. It also contains the clue for TAR Asia's first ever...

FAST FORWARD

In TAR Asia, all Fast Forward tasks remain a mystery until teams arrive at the location. Teams wishing to claim this Fast Forward must head to the SMA Negeri 60, a local high school, where they must search through fifty children moving around in the quadrangle listening to Sony Walkmans. One of these students has a Walkman playing Allan saying "Congratulations. You have won the Fast Forward. Please exchange your Sony Walkman for your clue.", the others all play Allan saying "Sorry. Incorrect. Try again." The team which finds the one walkman playing the Fast Forward message first wins the Fast Forward.

Both Ernie/Jeena and Sahil/Prashant attempt the Fast Forward, with Sahil/Prashant arriving at the school first and winning it.

Ernie/Jeena must then head to the West Sumatera Pavilion like the other teams. There, they must perform a local Miningkabau plate dance called the tari piring. They must also don a local hat. If the dance professionals are satisfied with their performance, they will get the next clue. Teams arrive and complete the task:

2) Mardy/Marsio
3) Aubrey/Jacqueline
4) Andy/Laura
5) Zabrina/Joe Jer
6) Howard/Sahran
7) Andrew/Syeon
8) Sharon/Melody
9) Sandy/Francesca
10) Ernie/Jeena

And are given a:

Push <--DETOUR--> Sell

In either Detour option, teams must make their way to JL Panglima Polim III, and find a waiting group of bakso soup carts.
Teams selecting PUSH must push their cart along a marked five-hundred-metre course, whilst singing a traditional song used by bakso vendors, called Uncle Bakso. They must push slow enough so as to not spill the contents of a bowlful of soy sauce. If there is enough bakso in the cart when they finish, they will be given their next clue. PROS: Task is almost certainly quicker. CONS: Task will require balance. Task may need to be completed more than once if teams fail. Singing a song in Indonesian will be difficult.
Teams selecting SELL must prepare at least fifteen bowls of bakso soup, and sell them at a minimum price of 2000 rupiah each. They have the option of buying the food and eating it themselves if they are unable to find customers. Once fifteen bowls have been sold they will get their next clue. PROS: Task does not require balance. Task will only need to be completed once. CONS: Task is almost certainly slower. Finding customers may be difficult.

Zabrina/Joe Jer are the only team to choose Sell, everyone else chooses and completes Push. Teams arrive at the carts:

2) Mardy/Marsio
3) Zabrina/Joe Jer
4) Andy/Laura
5) Howard/Sahran
6) Andrew/Syeon
7) Aubrey/Jacqueline
8) Sharon/Melody
9) Sandy/Francesca
10) Ernie/Jeena

And finish the task:

2) Mardy/Marsio
3) Zabrina/Joe Jer
4) Howard/Sahran
5) Sharon/Melody
6) Aubrey/Jacqueline
7) Andy/Laura
8) Andrew/Syeon
9) Sandy/Francesca, who had to complete the task a second time
10) Ernie/Jeena, who had to complete the task a second time

The final clue directs teams to head to the Pit Stop, Monas (in English, the National Monument). They are told that they must enter via the IRTI Monas carpark. Teams arrive:

1) Sahil/Prashant
2) Mardy/Marsio
3) Howard/Sahran
4) Zabrina/Joe Jer
5) Sharon/Melody
6) Aubrey/Jacqueline
7) Andy/Laura
8) Andrew/Syeon
9) Sandy/Francesca
10) Ernie/Jeena, who are eliminated.

The Amazing Race Asia: Season One: Overview Timeline

Day One (Friday, May 26th, 2006): The ten teams start from Dataran Merdeka in Kuala Lumpur. The clues inside these envelopes are for the Wet/Dry Detour. Teams head to the Uluwatu Caves for apparently no reason before going to the Pit Stop at Tanah Lot Temple (where Zabrina/Joe Jer's penalty means that Howard/Sahran win the leg and the Sony Handycams; and Aubrey/Jacqueline are eliminated).

There, they perform the Bell RoadBlock and are given the Bacon/Eggs Detour before going to the Pit Stop at Wat Pho (aka Where Momily Lost The Race; Andy/Laura win a year's supply of Caltex fuel; Zabrina/Joe Jer lose their money).

Day Fourteen (Thursday, June 8th, 2006): Extended Pit Stop in Bangkok.

Day Fifteen (Friday, June 9th, 2006): Teams start Leg 8 and spend the day taking buses to Krabi. They head to Nopparat Thara Bay and find the visitor's center, which is closed for the night.

Day Sixteen (Saturday, June 10th, 2006): In the morning, teams either complete the Pranang Bay Fast Forward (Mardy/Marsio) or the Smash/Grab Detour at Koh Poda (all other teams). From there, they head to Raile East 123 Wall for the Rock Climbing RoadBlock, then to Koh Hong Lagoon, and finally to Koh Pak Bia, the Pit Stop for this leg of the race (Mardy/Marsio finish first and win nothing; Howard/Sahran are eliminated).

Day Seventeen (Sunday, June 11th, 2006): Extened Pit Stop in Krabi, the third in a row, and the final one of the season.

Day Eighteen (Monday, June 12th, 2006): Leg 9 begins with teams getting the now-cliche clue directing them to India. When they arrive in Kolkata later that day, teams head to St. Teresa of Avila Church and light a candle for Mother Teresa (though three teams are taken to the church where she is buried). They head to Tollygunge Metro Train Station to complete the Shoeshine RoadBlock, and to the Aaheli Restaurant for a Bengali feast. Teams must wait overnight for their next location, Kanishka's Sari Boutique, to open.

Day Nineteen (Tuesday, June 13th, 2006): Teams search among hundreds of saris in the store for their clue, which is the Carry/Count Detour. They head from their chosen option to the mat at the Kolay Market (Andy/Laura arrive first; Sandy/Francesca last) where teams learn the leg is not over. They walk to the nearby Sealdah Station and take a train to New Delhi...

Day Twenty (Wednesday, June 14th, 2006): ...which arrives the next morning. Teams head to the Red Fort, where Sandy/Francesca force Andy/Laura to Yield, and where the Deliver/Donkey Detour is given. Teams continue to the Garib Gaushala cowshed at the Tibetan Monastery Market for the Dungcake RoadBlock, and to Jain Mandir Dada Bari where they must run barefoot across hot marble searching for the Pit Stop (Sandy/Francesca arrive first and win a Langkawi holiday; Andy/Laura are finally eliminated).

Day Twenty-One (Thursday, June 15th, 2006): The teams fly to Dubai for Leg 10, and take taxis to the Bur Dubai Abra Station, where nobody uses the Yield, and the Golf RoadBlock is given. They head from the golf course to the Leopard of Dubai, a boat at the Dubai International Marine Club, and from there to Ski Dubai, an indoor ski facility, for the Hack/Hike Detour. Teams search for the Modern Jewellery Shop at the Gold Souk before taking a provided vehicle across the Margham Red Dunes to the "Margham Desert Camp", the Pit Stop (in acutality not a desert camp but a theater restaurant; Sandy/Francesca arrive first and win nothing; Mardy/Marsio lose their money).

Day Twenty-Two (Friday, June 16th, 2006): Teams start Leg 11 by riding in their provided vehicles to Desert Area 53 for the Ride/Seek Detour, before returning to Dubai to ride the Eye Of The Emirates ferris wheel numerous times until they find a pod with a correct clue inside. It is the clue for the Brain Eating RoadBlock, which teams complete before searching Sheikh Saeed al-Maktoum's house for their next clue. They ride the Jumeirah Sceirah at Wild Wadi before going to the Pit Stop on Mina A'Salam Beach (Andrew/Syeon arrive first and win a holiday to Australia's Gold Coast; Mardy/Marsio are eliminated).

Day Twenty-Three (Saturday, June 17th, 2006): The final leg, Leg 12, begins with teams solving a jigsaw puzzle to reveal their final country, Malaysia. They fly to Kuala Lumpur, arriving late at night, and return to Menara Kuala Lumpur, where they get instructions directing them to Kucing, Sarawak.

Day Twenty-Four (Sunday, June 18th, 2006): Teams fly to and arrive in Kucing, where they selfdrive for the remainder of the race. First, they must find a clue at one of the city's many cat statues, then to the Old Courthouse, and to their chosen task in the Brains/Brawn Detour. They then drive to the Sarawak Cultural Village and search the longhouses for the right cluebox, before hitting coloured pineapples with blowdarts and performing the Ropes Course RoadBlock at Permai Rainforest Resort. From the resort, they ride boats to Bako National Park and search the boardwalks of the mangrove forest for the finish line (Zabrina/Joe Jer win; Sandy/Francesca finish second; and Andrew/Syeon round things out in third).
